Musicians of the Barynya Balalaika Trio led by Elina Karokhina, best Russian balalaika virtuoso in the United States of America performed three sets of Soviet, Russian, Jewish, and Gypsy songs and music during the Grand Re-Opening at the restaurant Gamrinus and CO located on the corner of Ocean Parkway and Brighton Beach Avenue in the heart of Russian Brooklyn on Friday, May 3rd, 2019 from 8pm to midnight. Вчера, друзья мои, мы втроём - Леня, Лина и я - попали на грэнд-опенинг в ресторане Гамбринус на Брайтоне. Хочу поделиться впечатлениями: еда была очень вкусная, сколько стоила денег, правда, не знаем, нас как приглашённых артистов весь вечер щедро угощали гостеприимные хозяева. Обстановка, весь персонал и гости произвели очень приятное впечатление. Grand Opening, с моей точки зрения, удался, танцовщицы Ольги Лавровой встречали гостей и работали в зале, с диджеем Аленой и сам по себе играл настоящий одесский саксофонист Саша Barder, гостей развлекал МС Илья Solis, который, собственно, нас и пригласил поиграть на этом мероприятии. Мы все втроём однозначно остались очень довольны рестораном, опять же таки, закуска была очень вкусная, хозяева и персонал произвели очень приятное впечатление. В нашем списке новый Гамбринус вчера вышел на первое место. А играли мы немного - всего три коротких отделения по несколько вещей: (1 set) Счастье вдруг в тишине,

Заодно слегка отметили золотой юбилей свадьбы нашего басиста (Leonid Bruk), и день рождения нашего бывшего певца Сашки Меньшикова (Alexander Menshikov), погоревали, что его нет с нами, он от души любил подобные тусовки. Лина (Elina Karokhina) никак не хотела уезжать...

On Monday, May 2nd, 2016 at 10am Balalaika Trio provided one hour performance at Connecticut Baptist Homes, 292 Thorpe Ave., Meriden, CT 06450. Program included Russian, Cossack, Gypsy, Jewish, Ukrainian songs and dances as well as classical repertoire.
