Belly dancer Veronica from Orange County, California

Veronica is a professional belly dancer renowned by fellow dancers and audiences alike for her grace, vitality, and exquisite technique. Her dancing is often described as fluid, soulful, and passionate. At an early age she began developing a love for dance and a strong foundation in technique studying ballet, tap, and jazz. She saw her first belly dance show, and subsequently discovered her true passion in life, on her eighteenth birthday while dining at Aegean Greek Cafe in Laguna Beach. Almost immediately after she began studying with the most preeminent teachers in California, taking workshops from Egyptian Stars, and learning as much as possible about the music, culture, and history of the dance. Veronica (Russian: Вероника) has been a member of a number of prominent Middle Eastern Dance performance groups in Southern California including the Angelika Nemeth Dance Ensemble, Lilla Varese Dance Company, and Bellydiosas. As a member of these groups she had the opportunity to appear in the International Academy of Middle Eastern Dance performance DVDs in 2005, 2006, and 2007. As a professional soloist, Veronica is busy performing at events, private parties, and restaurants throughout Orange County and Los Angeles. Veronica has been performing weekly at Darya in Orange for the past five years. In 2005, she competed in the Bellydancer of the Universe Competition and received the People's Choice award in the Egyptian Category. In 2006, she was invited to perform in the Invitational Dance Concert at Goldenwest College Mainstage Theatre. She has also been featured in various festivals, special events, and music videos. Veronica considers it an honor to present this beautiful dance form to the public. Her enchanting and entertaining performances serve to make any event memorable. Veronica is available to perform belly dance shows for corporate events, family celebrations, weddings, and festivals. Performances are tailored to the needs of the event and can include props such as veil, wings, finger cymbals, and cane. Veronica can also provide additional dancers if desired. Audience participation is welcomed in every show and tips are graciously accepted.
