This international duo specializes in the traditional songs and dances of the Russian
and Roma (Gypsy) tradition. They perform ancient Gypsy melodies, heartfelt lyrical
romansy, accompanied by the Russian 7-string guitar & fiery Russian Gypsy dances.
Anne Harley is a Canadian
singer specializing in music of
the Russian Baroque, Russian
Roma and contemporary composers.
She has performed
nationally and internationally
with groups such as the
American Repertory Theater,
Boston Camerata, the Handel
and Haydn Society, Opera Noord Holland Noord,
Opera Boston and TALISMAN.

Moscow Gypsy Theater Romen,
Vadim Kolpakov has been
steeped in the tradition from
childhood, plays the Russian 7-

such venues as Carnegie Hall,
Harvard University, Colony
Theater (Miami, FL), and the
Kennedy Center for Performing
Arts (Washington D.C.).
He is a director of the Russian Gypsy Traditional Music and Dance ensemble "VIA ROMEN
