Russian Gypsy Duo "Vadik & Anna"

This international duo specializes in the traditional songs and dances of the Russian and Roma (Gypsy) tradition. They perform ancient Gypsy melodies, heartfelt lyrical romansy, accompanied by the Russian 7-string guitar & fiery Russian Gypsy dances.

Anne Harley is a Canadian singer specializing in music of the Russian Baroque, Russian Roma and contemporary composers. She has performed nationally and internationally with groups such as the American Repertory Theater, Boston Camerata, the Handel and Haydn Society, Opera Noord Holland Noord, Opera Boston and TALISMAN.

Lead guitarist and artist of the Moscow Gypsy Theater Romen, Vadim Kolpakov has been steeped in the tradition from childhood, plays the Russian 7- string guitar, sings and dances. He has toured extensively in the USA and Europe, including such venues as Carnegie Hall, Harvard University, Colony Theater (Miami, FL), and the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts (Washington D.C.).
