Геннадий Сергиенко родился в Киеве. Закончил Киевский Институт Культуры по специальности руководитель оркестра народных инструментов.
Писать стихи и песни начал во время срочной службы в армии в начале 80-х гг.
С начала 90-х годов проживает в Чикаго. Неоднократно выступал с концертами в составе ансамблей "Internationals" ,
"Тум-балалайка", "Chicago Cossacks", а также с сольными выступлениями как автор-исполнитель.

Gennady Sergienko - Russian Ukrainian domra player, songwriter/performer
Gennady Sergienko was born in Kiev, Ukraine.
Formal education: Ukrainian State Kiev Institute of Culture.
Master Degree: Director of folk instruments orchestra.
He started to write poetry and songs during service in the Red (Soviet) Army
in the 80-th. In the beginning of the 90-th he moved to the United States
and choose Chicago as his home base. He performed with
The World music ensemble "Internationals", "Tum-balalaika" band,
"Chicago Cossacks" duo, and solo as songwriter/performer.

THE CHICAGO COSSACKS will present a program of Russian, Cossack, Ukrainian and Gypsy traditional dances and songs performed on traditional instruments: domra (Russian mandolin), bayan (Russian button accordion), balalaika. The entertainment includes the English translation of the lyrics and overview and history of Russian folk instruments.
Tickets are $20 in advance,
$25 at the door.

Альбом "Сэр Генка в Городе Ветров" - 2003-04гг. В альбом вошло 16 разноплановых песен: лирических, шуточных, хулиганских, жизненных. К большинству из них Геннадий написал слова и музыку. Аранжировки к песням сделаны в стиле "шансон – новая волна".
Песни из альбома неоднократно звучали на русском радио в Чикаго. Диск уже поступил в продажу в магазины Чикаго и других городов США.
